Microsoft Cuts College Kids A Break

Looks like Microsoft is loosening the reigns on their latest piece of software by allowing students to purchase Microsoft Office 2007 for a fraction of the retail price. For $60 dollars any college student, part-time or full-time, can get their hands of Office 2007 providing:

  • They are actively enrolled in some form of "Higher Education"
  • They have an email address from that school

Do some research before running to the nearest computer and throwing money at Microsoft. Take a few minutes to check with your school to see if they offer Office 2007 for less than $60 or even possibly free. Many schools do offer it for less and some even for free so it would be worth checking out.

Microsoft's promotion begins on 9/18/2007 and ends on 4/30/2008.
